  • 6-foot-1, combo-guard
  • Melrose, Mass. Native
  • Will play for Wilbraham & Monson next season
  • Boston Amateur Basketball Club (BABC) AAU

We kind of broke our own rules on this one, but it’s ok because Jalen Adams is worth taking a look at. The 6-foot-1 guard from Melrose HS (Mass.) will be transferring to Wilbraham & Monson Academy next year, where he will team up with fellow BABC teammates Jaylen Brantley, Kamali Bey and Curtis Cobb.

Adams is an explosive guard with the skill set to be very special. He finishes around the rim and can hit the shot from the outside. He is also a leader on the floor, a skill that will only improve as he grows as a player.

@RDRecruiting: What do you feel are your biggest strengths on the floor?
@JalenAdams25: i think my greatest strengths on the court are being a verbal leader and being able to score the ball.

RDR: What do you feel you need to improve on the most going forward?
JA: i need to improve my jump shot, i think it needs to be more consistant.

RDR: What made you want to transfer to WMA?
JA: i transferred to WMA because they have a great coaching staff thats willing to work with me on and off the court.

RDR: What about next year are you looking forward to the most?
JA: im looking forward to working with a great coaching staff and all the other good players. and mostly i just want to get my name out there

RDR: Are there any schools currently showing interest or that have offered you?
JA: i currently have no interest or offers from any schools.

RDR: Are there any tournaments you are looking forward to this summer?
JA: the one tournament that im looking forward to is “Rumble in The Bronx” that is always a great tournament to play in.
